dreamy wanderings

fairy † frail

on one foggy afternoon, matt and i decided to revisit our

favorite spot, a lovely 'wonderland' estate that is full of

magic and mystery. we agreed that the most beautiful day is

not of sunshine but one full of clouds and mist. the most

perfect ambiance that even bunnies seem to appear

everywhere we went. the presence of other creatures were

apparent, we had spotted a swift cat running along the

garden. it disappeared quickly into a path nowhere to be

seen. i thought to myself, is this the Cheshire cat playing

a game with us?

jupiter's lament

these days, i've been making lovely items for my future

etsy store along side matt as he draws on.

we're both on the floor working creatively. this atmosphere creates a

feeling as if we're in a movie at times. that kind of scene

where the camera is looking down upon us and rolls a long

with some kind of instrumental music in the

background. sometimes, i glance over and notice his

complete focus on drawing in the smallest detail or

blending in just the right amount of color in his drawing.

i think he does the same when i try to thread a needle to

sew on a sequin or bead on to a bow. and on the occasion

that when our eyes meet, we smile at each other.

dreamy wander

matt and i found ourselves thrifting lately. he scored

really cheap heavy metal cassette tapes for only 49 cents

each! and i bought a peachy princess puff-sleeved shirt

with cute applique flowers and a super soft knitted minty

sweater. i can't wait for summer to be over with so i can

wear the sweater out~! also, i shouldn't forget to mention

an awesome care bears bed sheet that i already turned in to a

poofy skirt. all these things for less than $5 from

salvation army :)

beloved knits

i've been collecting a lot of lace, yarn, bows, and various

vintage frilly items to create 'cult party' inspired

accessories. this is probably my favorite style coming from

japan at the moment out of all of the many -kei's. fairy-

kei initially drew me in because it's super cute but after

awhile, it looks too over the top for me. mori-girl is bit

too bohemian and simple. dolly-kei is pretty but the color

schemes are dark for my tastes. cult-party kei is in

between all of these things. i like the religious motifs,

the pink/white color schemes, and the subtle cuteness of it

all.

it is pretty much summer by now and i'm already dreading it. i get the illusion that there is more time to do things now than before since the sun does not set until 8 or 9 o'clock at night. or does this mean, that i can waste more time nevertheless. i'm going to try to do a "saturday outfit" post every week. whenever i set a goal like this, it never seems to last. i'm going to cross my fingers this time that it will, at least until the next season when the daylight is shorter again.

also, i'm selling some clothes here if anyone is interested :)
