now here is my secret, a very simple secret

my room is like a time machine that is taking me back to days of naivety and innocence. i find myself listening to a singles compilation from '97-'08 by the brilliant green. sitting here with these feelings, of nostalgia as though i never left. and then rediscovering the things i used to enjoy doing from a much needed massive cleansing of my room. in some respect, it is almost like a reflection of the world inside of me. i am mixing the old with the new.



i received that lovely drawing above from matt who i am missing very much right now. he says there will be many more to come. i am excited and this one will be hanging up in my bedroom once i find the right frame. it's even more special because i watched him draw everything, including the little details that often get unnoticed. those squid-like creatures were inspired by this diorama that we saw at the american natural history museum in nyc.
